How can I best take care of my blades?Updated 3 months ago
Looking after your blades is vital in order to have a great shave and will mean you can enjoy smooth shaving for longer until you need to change.
Cleaning your razor is important - but there’s certain dos and don’ts to ensure you’re keeping your blades as fresh as possible.
Do:
Keep your blades clean
While you’re shaving, hold your razor blade under a tap after every few strokes, letting the water run through the back of the blades to remove and dislodge any hairs and bits from the razor.
Dry Naturally
Before you go again give your razor a shake to get rid of any excess water and dry your blades.
Keep it covered
It’s best to keep your blades covered - we’d recommend in our travel blade cover which will keep your blades cleaner and sharper for longer. This will reduce the amount of moisture that can get on your blades and prevent any rusting.
Don’t:
Don’t dry using a towel!
When drying your razor, don’t rub your blades against a towel - it’s best to let your blades air dry. Running against a towel could get fabric stuck and damage your blades - and it’ll probably ruin your towel too!
No tapping!
Similarly, tapping your razor against the sink to try and dislodge any hairs is a no. Our blades are engineered to be precise and you could risk damaging them.
